My dad & I have always been dreamers. From an early age, we worked together on numerous projects, always having the most fun during the shopping part of any good DIY. And when I got into plants as a teenager, as any good dad would, when my plants started inevitably dying, he took them into his kitchen & nursed them back to life.
When the opportunity arose for us to take on plants at The Bohemian, we saw it as another exciting challenge — one that would be a little hobby we did on the weekends & nothing more. What started as a cart in the front of The Bohemian quickly became a 150 square foot space filled to the brim with plants, vintage & handmade gift items. We made tons of new plant-y friends and continued to outgrow that new space not just once but twice more.
Cat & Mouse has been the ride of a lifetime and I am so grateful to every person who has shopped with us along the way. We never could have anticipated growing to this size, but I couldn’t be happier to have done it all with my dad. I learned from him what it looks like to not only dream, but put the hard work in to see those dreams come true. Plus, he is a great shopping partner!
When it comes to houseplants, we pride ourselves on knowing our stock well. Every item we bring in is one we’ve personally tested and loved, and every plant is one we know the care instructions for. We never want someone to leave without feeling prepared for life with their new plant baby. Should anything come up after leaving the store, you can always message us for advice. Our goal is to make this world a little greener by helping black thumbs learn to be green.
